In my third grade year, my class started poetry. We all started reading poems and then we started writing poetry. My class loves poems because you’re able to write them whenever you want. There can be poems about friends, family, or your imagination. My teacher makes sure that every poem we do has to be funny, happy, or drama, and makes people smile when they read it. I like poetry because you can have so much fun writing it.
In third grade, we went to Howe caverns. Howe caverns is a cave of rocks and minerals. Howe caverns is an amazing place. In Howe caverns you can ride a boat and they turn the lights off and about 1 min later they turn the lights back on. I will always remember Howe caverns.
When my class went to Howe Caverns it was an amazing adventure! We went on a boat ride through a dark river, met a robot, got to walk through a cave, and saw a rock that looked like Godzilla! After that it was finally lunch. My mom took me to a chocolate shop in Howe Caverns it was yummy. Then we went to the gift shop I got a stuffed bat and a moon necklace. We learned about a story about a boy and his mouse it was funny. Soon I was getting tired then we drove back to the school I wish our trip wasn’t over I can’t wait to go a 2nd time.
We learned about worms. Worms are really cool. Did you know a worm’s Clitellum can tell you if it’s an adult or not. Worms can push their Clitellum off their body and it will be it their egg sack. Our class made a wormery, and then let them go after a week or so. Worms need slime to survive. Worms are cool animals. They help your gardens grow better.
I really like lunch bunch. Lunch Bunch is when you go up to your class room and eat lunch with your class mates. I think that Lunch Bunch is fun because we all have to answer a bunch of questions.
My favorite day in 3rd grade was the day went we to Howe Caverns. We got to go on a boat ride. I got candy and a pencil and other stuff. I got to see a motorcycle. It was an awesome day.
My teacher is Mrs. Rosenberg she is the best teacher ever. Mrs. Rosenberg has 2 sons, Ben and Jake. Her favorite sport is rowing. She does lots of fun things around the class room. Even though she gives us a test Mrs. Rosenberg is still the BEST.
In Mrs. S’s art class we made copper masks. In French, repoussé means to push and we had to push a lot. We used beads, string and more copper to make decorations. Before we decorated we put H2SO4 (sulfur) on the masks and when it was dry we used steel wool on the dry sulfur. After we did the steel wool we cut out the masks. We used a compass witch is a tool people use to make circle to poke the hole for the decorations and we poked the string through the hole and it was done!
My teacher is Mrs. Rosenberg I like her because she is really nice to all her students in her class. She is also very fun. She likes to play games with us and she also likes to play around because she is someone who isn’t mean. My favorite part about her is that you can trust her because if she made a promise to you she would keep it. My teacher is one of my favorite things in my whole 3rd grade year so far. My teacher is very special to me and special to her whole class.
We have a dog named Dawson. He is fun, naughty, and we all love him. He is also really cool. When he is out, he sometimes listens to the lessons. He likes to get into trouble. Dawson is a black Labrador retriever. We love to play Dawson ball with Dawson’s favorite football. He loves to be petted. I’m pretty sure he loves us to.
Dawson is our class dog this year! He is a little naughty he steals erasers. We call it (doggy gum). He lives with his owner Mrs. Stahlman. He is a Labrador Retriever. I’m glad he’s our class dog!
Dawson is the best dog ever. We get to play with him a lot. We would throw his football and he would chase it. He would bring it to someone else and make them throw it. He lies on the rug we do and chews his bone. He also eats everything sometimes. Dawson is naughty. He likes to eat everything. One time he ate a sock. There is no better dog then Dawson because he makes people cheer up.
